Virus blocks strigolactone signaling to outsmart rice immunity
Year:2026DOI:10.1016/j.chom.2026.02.011
Abstract
How hosts integrate endogenous signaling pathways with antiviral defense remains poorly understood. In their recent Cell study, Yang et al. demonstrate that strigolactone signaling enhances resistance to rice grassy stunt virus, revealing an unexpected intersection between hormone signaling and host antiviral immunity.
