Research Interests

I am deeply passionate about interdisciplinary research, where the convergence of multiple scientific fields leads to new discoveries. My work focuses on exploring chemical solutions to biological challenges, particularly through the development of natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES)—a class of green solvents composed of food-grade, eco-friendly materials. These solvents have the potential to revolutionize a plethora of applications, including extraction, stabilizations, and catalysis. As part of Prof. Al-Babili’s group, I aim to to expand the range of metabolites that can be isolated from plants by developing efficient and green methods for the isolation and stabilization of bioactive compounds from plant root exudates, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and minimizing environmental impact.
