I mainly focused on the isolation, purification and identification of the natural products. Furthermore, how these diverse and complex natural products were generated and modulated within plants appeals me a lot. My interest is to understand how plants synthesize useful metabolites and elucidate their biosynthetic pathways, in order to better obtain and utilize potential small molecule drugs from natural products.
