Research Interests

My research focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms that regulate plant hormone signaling and biosynthesis, with a focus on key hormone: Strigolactones. Through my work, I aim to uncover how hormones influence various aspects of plant physiology, including root architecture, shoot branching, seed germination, and responses to environmental stress. By identifying the genes and enzymes involved in these pathways, I engineer plants to either overproduce or modulate specific hormones, studying how these modifications lead to altered phenotypic outcomes. This research has the potential to inform more sustainable agricultural practices by optimizing plant traits for better growth and resilience in changing environmental conditions.
